Bordered to the north and west by the Baltic Sea, to the east by the Russian Federation and to the south by Latvia, Estonia is one of the three Baltic Republics that has great scenic beauty with many forests, lakes and islands. Indeed, it is known for its enormous forests, beautiful wetlands and remote offshore islands. And it is one of Europe’s most friendly and forward-thinking nations.
Estonia has a lot to offer all visitors to the area. It’s a great way to learn first hand about the Estonia region and all that it has to offer! Talllinn, the ancient Hanseatic city and the capital of Estonia, offers historical and architectural monuments. Parnu, which is known as a seaport and a health resort, offers its theater and its 3km long sandy beach. Tartu offers its very old university and other sights like the Vyshgorod Cathedral, the Town Hall, and the university’s Botanical Garden. Narva, which is one of the oldest towns in Estonia, offers some great old architectural monuments and museums. Other nice places to visit are Haapsalu, Saaremaa, and Mustvee.
